Moodbidri, Mar 25: Retired additional director of agriculture, Kere Basadi resident here, Sukumar Hegde (61) died of heart attack on Sunday, March 24. He has left behind his wife Chandrika who is a junior assistant in primary health centre, Shirthady, a son and a daughter.
Sukumar had taken part in the concluding programme of Mastakabhisheka, Dharmastala on Sunday and was admitted in local hospital as he became sick but he died without responding to treatment.
He hailed from Mundli, Tellar and had served in Bijapur, Mangaluru and Moodbidri and was identified for his work in favor of farmers.
