Bantwal: Two accused of assault, death threats over mosque survey arrested

Bantwal, Mar 25: Police arrested two suspects on charges of assault and threats to kill a person over differences regarding survey of Akkarangadi mosque here.

The incident took place in Nehrunagar, Narikombu village on March 23. Nehrunagar resident Taslim Arif (35) was the victim in the assault. Police arrested village resident P S Imran (28) and Abdul Lathif (35) and registered a case at Bantwal police station in this connection.

Details of the incident

Taslim was returning in his car after completing survey of Akkarangadi mosque on March 23. Meanwhile P S Sajjad, P S Imran, P S Lathif, P S Razak and others came in bikes and hurled expletives at Taslim. Taslim has stated in the police complaint that Imran assaulted him and threatened to kill him. Investigation is in progress.
