Bantwal, Mar 25: Sarapady villagers here have decided to boycott elections saying that they will vote only if Baje road is tarred.
A banner boycotting elections was seen in Baje vicinity. Election officials who arrived at the spot have got it removed.
“We have campaigned for tarring Baje road connecting Maninalkuru-Devasyapaduru for the last fifteen years. The blame games between political parties have deprived the people here of the facility. There are more than 200 houses here besides place of worship, school and hospital. Residents here are suffering from cough, cold and other ailments because of the dust on the road,” said the villagers.
