Mangaluru, Mar 26: “The coalition government of the state is on ventilator and nothing can be expected from it,” said Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandoor.
He was addressing media here on Tuesday, March 26.
The Puttur MLA further said, “The Congress leaders are in a confused state and fielded young candidates in the upcoming elections. The confusion between former Congress MLAs and ministers in the district will be a positive for BJP. We are confident that we will gain upper hand in the elections. On the other hand, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala is putting false allegations on Yeddyurappa and we demand election commission to take action on Randeep.
“Nalin Kumar Kateel is all set to contest in the elections for the third time. In the last 10 years, there is a lot of appreciation for his works. In the last five years under MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, we have won 7 seats in assembly elections, and zilla panchayat elections. BJP turned victorious in 134, out of the 232 gram panchayats,” said Sanjeev Matandoor.
Giving details on the preparations for the elections, Sanjeev said, “Ahead of the elections, we have planned several programs at booth level and organized Kamala Jyothi programme, Maha Sampark Abhiyan and also public programmes as a part of pre-preparations for the elections. We will keep central government's achievement and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel's achievement, in the last 10 years, in front of the people and also the failures of state government.”
When asked about Nalin's achievement and one contribution to the district, Sanjeev Matandoor said, “MP Nalin Kumar Kateel was common representative in the year 2009 and 2014. Nalin turned out to be a leader. Nalin Kumar Kateel is a sincere leader, number one MP and corruption free leader. Plastic park and SEZ have been approved for the district.”
Sullia MLA S Angara, Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty, Beltangady MLA Harish Poonja and others were present.
