Udupi: One more death reported due to monkey fever at Kasturba Hospital

Udupi, Mar 26: A patient from Sagar taluk admitted at Kasturba Hospital Manipal died on Tuesday, March 26. He was diagnosed with KFD positive.

The deceased has been identified as Kanamma (60). As many as nine deaths have been reported in Kasturba Hospital due to KFD till now.

From Sagar and in and around the district, as many as 314 patients suspected with KFD and 12 repeated admission happened at Kasturba Hospital Manipal. As many as 129 positive cases and 185 negative cases were found. A total of 283 patients have been already discharged after availing treatment. Thirty-one are still in the hospital availing treatment.
