Udupi, Mar 27: Two men, who are friends, were arrested for allegedly raping a young girl, colleague of one of the accused.

Maranakatte Jagadish Bovi and a young girl of Malpe were both working in a cloth shop of Badagupete of the city. Jagadish had promised to marry the said girl and was interacting with her freely. Last week, taking advantage of the faith of the young girl, Jagadish took the girl to a lodge in Manipal during the Pedoor Jathre festival and also called his friend Ganesh Mallya, a resident of Harikhandige to accompany him. Both Jagadish and Ganesh raped the girl in the lodge. The victim girl filed a complaint in this regard with the Manipal police station.

The victim girl, who got depressed because of the behavior of Jagadish, with whom she developed relation on good faith, attempted to commit suicide by consuming a overdose of certain tablets. Promising to marry and keeping up his promise are two pair shoes. There were so many such cases in the past and at last none of them married and girls were left back with pregnency and boy was out of anyones reach. Why dont girls learn out of such incidents?and be careful ,not to go to lodges so long not married. They must know why lodge is preferd.Other side when boy really loved her ,wouldnt take his friend to share his girl.shameful act and to be punished with highest punishment.so that in future boys should think thrice before think of such ugly thoughts.By the way what were her parents doing ?Now girl need not think of further about her suecide or her mistakes.Let her get better and learn lesson out of this and marry a nice ,honest guy who really love her.wish all the besst.

I hold the girl 50% responsible for this fate. How come she agreed to go with her friend to a hotel room. why our girls are taking the issue so light. Why are they following western style of free life. This is the result of adopting western life style which is not different than animals. If this boy and girl are in love, the girl should not have agreed to go with him to a hotel room. On the other hand the boy has misused the trust of the girl and invited his friend also to rape her. |Both these rapists should be given capital punishment. but, indian law is very week and these two rapists will be let free soon with minor punishment. Indian law is not strong to stop any crimes and that is the reason why people are coming crimes like rape, mob lynching, murder etc etc. Our Lawyers are not fair and sincere to their profession. they are practicing only to make money. After completing law degree in take oath in the name of money and injustice to public. I think they are being taught how to mislead justice system and support the criminals and avoid justice to innocents.
