Abu Dhabi: National Neonatology Forum UAE Branch inaugurated

Abu Dhabi, Mar 27: Giving a major impetus to its international expansion, the UAE branch of the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) was inaugurated at a glittering function held in Abu Dhabi on March 22 in the presence of Navdeep Suri, Indian Ambassador to UAE, office-bearers of the Indian and UAE chapters of NNF and more than 175 Neonatologists and Pediatricians from across the UAE.

The inauguration followed the signing of a MoU between the office-bearers of NNF India led by president Dr V P Goswami and secretary Dr Lalan K. Bharti, and the NNF UAE chapter represented by Dr Monica Kaushal, Dr Rajesh Sharma and Dr Sridhar Kalyansundaram.

Dr Monika Kaushal, consultant Neonatlogist at Emirates Hospital, Dubai, said that the official establishment of the UAE branch was a ‘dream come true’. “We have been working on this project since many years and finally it has been accomplished with the support of Dr V P Goswami," said Dr Rajesh Sharma, consultant neonatologist at Al Corniche Hospital, Abu Dhabi.

Elaborating further on the significance of the event, officials of the UAE chapter expressed their keenness to use the opportunity to benefit many more scientific activities in the region.

The event was held on the sidelines of the CME program NEOPEDIA 2019 at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Abu Dhabi, sponsored and organised by New Country Healthcare.
