Mangaluru: Fact check – No, Mithun Rai did not shed tears on Ashraf’s signal

Mangaluru, Mar 27: A video has been circulated since past two days in the social media, which claims that local leader Ashraf instructed Congress Lok Sabha candidate Mithun Rai to shed tears during the Congress-JD(S) convention in city before Rai filed his nomination on Monday. Now the truth has come out that Ashraf did not instruct or request Mithun to shed tears. In fact he was wiping his face.

After the video was circulated, it attracted many views. Some supported Ashraf’s ‘signal’. Some criticised it. But after we checked the video carefully, it was observed that Ashraf was wiping his face, especially lower part of his eyes. He did it when district in-charge minister U T Khader spoke also.

This fact check exposes some social media ‘experts’ who use videos to send wrong information to people.

    The comments on the articles related to elections clearly show that political parties polarize the society. Not sure how many know Mithun Rai personally, but we see people coming to his defense.
    NK will have a tough fight against Mithun Rai unless usual suspects like Amarnath Shetty and other factions within Congress decide to sabotage the blooming career of Mithun Rai.

    Nobody can shed tears better than Bollywood star Anupam Kher without 'glycerin' who later joined BJP and supported his wife.

    Asli or Nakli, but nobody can beat Tears of a clown: The comic genius of BJP Yeddyurappa. He's had so many occasions to weep that Yeddyurappa has often seemed less CM than an overwrought patriarch in a Kannada serial – without the glycerin.

    Yeddyurappa is an effortlessly lachrymose personage., crying more often than most toddlers.

    Similarly, Modi had earlier broken down after being elected leader of the parliamentary party following the BJP's historic victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha.

    Ever since he came to power he made 'cry' Indians for electing him to power.

    I think its habit like some people have habit of blinking,same way this man has that habit and mithun rai mistook.This proves He is so innocent and there is nothing wrong in this,our tax money is been misused by big fat politicians,this is not big deal.Mithun rai will be ideal as time passes by .WE ARE WITH YOU MITHUN RAI.WE ALREADY EXPECTED FROM JHUMLA PARTY THAT THEY LL DEFAME YOU COZ YOU ARE NOW STRONG OPPONENT TO BENKI NALIN.THEY HAD DONE THIS IN PAST ALSO TO MANY OTHER OPPONENTS.

    This propaganda is done none but bharat ko jalawo party. they are sure that their candidate will lose against Mithun Rai and are frustrated. Any how, bjp is going to lose all over India and their leaders plus paid activists have gone mad and giving illogic statemetns. Let us pray God to bless them and save them from becoming 100 percent mad which is not good for them, their families and we public.
