Dharwad, Mar 28: The state government, on Wednesday March 27, passed an order, entrusting the incident of crash of an under-construction building at Kumareshwara Nagar here to magisterial inquiry.
The order has asked a team led by the deputy commissioner of the district to investigate the incident in its entirety and submit a report to the government. Deputy commissioner of the district, Deepa M, said that the government has ordered a team led by her to conduct magisterial inquiry into the tragedy at Kumareshwara Nagar. "We received the orders on Wednesday. We will begin work soon," she said.
19 persons lost their lives in this tragedy while 54 people suffered injuries. A huge operation had been undertaken with the coming together of various forces to save as many people as possible from among those who were trapped under the concrete rubble.
