Bengaluru, Mar 29: Nandini layout police shot and injured a rowdy sheeter in an act of self defense as he tried to assault them.

Muniraju alias Munna, the rowdy sheeter was later arrested. Muniraju and two others had assaulted Sandeep and Sudeep in a trivial matter while playing cricket.

Police had registered a case under IPC section 307 against the accused. Muniraju tried to assault police constable Balaram who went on his lookout. Therefore, Nandini layout police inspector Lohith fired at Muniraju.
