Kundapur, Mar 30: A girl student, who was disheartened after coming to know that she had failed in the first PU examination, ended her life by consuming rat poison.

Anita (17), daughter of Prema from Uloor village, was a student of Shankarnarayana government PU college. When the result was announced on March 19, she had failed in three subjects. Frustrated, she had consumed rat poison and fallen seriously il. She was admitted into a private hospital at Manipal for advanced treatment.

Without responding to efforts made by doctors to save her, Anita breathed her last on Thursday. On the basis of a complaint filed by Chandra Shetty, relative of the deceased student, a case of unnatural death was registered in Shankarnarayana police station.

    Sad.Sometimes I really get upset when I hear these students simply are trying to suecide because they failed in exams.Wakeup dear students ,you all are doing big mistake when you suecide because of failure ,:Your parents are more pained when you suecide than failure in exams.You can first findout why so,may be it was a mistake .many times it happens.You can make out of your life something which first grade didnt do,even with failure in exams.Dont get immediately depression.Think you yourself was reason for it.may be you didnt learn it ? .never mind appear for next.and life can go on as usual.Life is hard but make out of it a garden ,full of flowers,not a grabstone.Heartfelt sympathy to the family.

    It is sad that Anita needed ended her life just because she failed in her first PU examination. May her soul RIP. Condolences to the bereaved families and loved ones. Suicide was not a solution to this. Failure is a stepping stone to success.
