Mangaluru, Mar 31: ‘Gandhada Kudi’, children’s adventure film produced by K Sathyendra Pai and K Krishna Mohan Pai under the banner of Invenjer technologies and directed by late Santhosh Shetty Kateel released at Big cinemas talkies, Bharath mall here.
Leela Shanker Shetty, mother of the director of the film late Santhosh Shetty lighted the lamp and conveyed her best wishes.
K Sathyendra Pai, producer said that the film uncovers the global impact in stages due to destruction of Western Ghats with a commercial touch. It has beautiful scenes of Malnad. ‘Nadendare Kannada Nadu’ song sung by Vijaya Prakash has become a hit. The film also gives a noble message to the society. All should watch and support the film, he requested.
Chief guests Adlabs head Balakrishna Shetty, film producer K Krishna Mohan Pai, Sudhaker Kudroli, Madhu Surathkal, Karnataka state journalist association executive committee member Jagannath Shetty Bala, Prasad K Shetty, Narasimha Mallya, Arvind Shetty, Razak Puttur, Raviraj Ganiga, Chetan, Prita Menezes, Yogish, Vasudev Kalluraya, film distributor Balakrishna Shetty Puttur and others were present. R J Prasanna compered the programme.
The film is released in Big Cinemas, PVR and Cinepolis in Mangaluru, Ashirwad in Udupi, Big Cinemas in Manipal, Sri Krishna in Kasargod, Planet in Karkal, Amarashree in Moodbidri, Vinayak in Kundapur, Shanker in Byndoor and throughout the state.
The film has bagged 21 international awards in India, San Diego, Mexico and Chile. It has been commended by film experts and is considered as one of the best films in the world.
Nidhi Sanjiva Shetty, Keesha, Ashlin, Pranathi, Vignesh, Sreesha, Shreyas, veteran Kannada actor Ramesh Bhat, Shivadhwaj Jyothi Rai, Arvind Shetty Kojakolli, Thammanna Shetty, Deepak Shetty, Yogish Kotian and G P Bhat are in the cast.
Photography is by Sachin Shetty and Laxmish Shetty. Ravi Raj Ganiga has edited the film. Arts direction is by Pradeep Rai. Preeta Menezes has worked as assistant director.
There are four songs in the film. Razak Puttur has written lyrics and dialogues. Prasad K Shetty has directed music. Well known singers of south India, Vijaya Prakash, Shreya Jaideep, Prakash, Mahadev, Ravi Mishra, Sathvi Jain and Lathesh Poojary have sung the songs.
