Mangaluru, Apr 1: Problems felt by people to obtain sand will be a thing of the past here. There will be no confusion about whom to contact for sand requirements to construct houses and buildings. Sand can be booked over mobile phones after downloading ‘Sand Bazar’ app.
The district administration is introducing the app. It will be implemented in Mangaluru CRZ limits at present and later throughout the district.
Customers who need sand will have to download the app. They will have to provide their complete address and address where the sand should be provided. They should enter their Aadhaar number and the nearest sand deck.
Sasikanth Senthil, deputy commissioner, has said that the app is prepared to maintain transparency and for ease. “The app will be set in motion soon,” he said.
