Mangaluru, Apr 1: Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar inaugurated ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign programme here at BJP election office at Bunts Hostel on Sunday, March 31.

People had a chance to watch the interaction programme with Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conference as part of ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign.

Addressing the gathering Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar said, "We should strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by supporting BJP candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Now it is up to people to decide whether they want leader who gave a stern reply to the terrorists or to those leaders who bow to terrorist activities.

“Every leader has come together to stop Prime Minister Modi from coming back to power through Mahagatbandan. The greed of power has made the leaders come together and there is no any other reason behind their unity,” he said.

Large number of people gathered to witness Modi's video conference. However, no one in the audience was given a chance to interact with Modi in the programme. The video conference was set up in 500 locations across the country.

BJP leaders N Yogish Bhat, D Vedavyas Kamath, Capt Brijesh Chowta, Gopalakrishna Herale, Prathapsimha Nayak, Sudarshan and others were present.

Udupi, Apr 1: People of Udupi witnessed 'Main bhi Chowkidar’ campaign programme at Bhujanga Park, Ajjarkad on Sunday, March 31. A large number of public, fans, BJP party leaders, and party workers gathered to watch the programme.

MLA of Sirsi Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri addressing the gathering and said, “Every citizen of India is appreciating the leadership of Modi today for the way he is leading our country to greater level.

“Congress divided the country. Modi has given corruption free administration. He wiped the tears of poor class people. He succeeded in keeping his words with 'Sabke Saath, Sabka Vikas'. About 7 crore families received Ujwal scheme benefits. He generated thousands of job opportunities under Mudra Yojana.

“Congress leaders have started the campaign ‘Chowikidar Chor Hai’ to target PM Modi. It shows the mentality of Congress. Prime Minister Modi said in that he is the ‘Pradhan Sevak’ of the country and its public. He served the country restlessly and dedicated himself to this nation.

“Modi has made the country proud. He showed the power of India to the world. Our country needs such leader to protect this nation and to make the nation free from corruption,” he said.

District BJP president Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat, senior leader Somashekhar Bhat, Yashpal Suvarna, Raghavendra Kini, town BJP president Prabhakar Poojary and others were present.
