Udupi, Apr 1: BJP held a meeting of BJP district election organizing committee in district BJP office on Sunday, March 31 in view of Lok Sabha elections.

National chief organizing secretary B L Santhosh gave guidance. He said that a rally to be addressed by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is proposed to be held here or at Mangaluru on April 12. He instructed the office bearers to complete house-to-house visits before that day.



Addressing the district booth level party workers meeting, he asked the workers to contact important people like doctors, engineers, office bearers of temple governing committee etc who can influence at least 25 votes, and explain to him about the party's agenda and hand over printed materials about Modi's achievements. He said that a mass contact programme will be held on April 14.

Sirsi MLA Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat, divisional chief organizing secretary Prasad Kumar, Mangaluru division in charge K Uday Kumar Shetty, district chief secretary Kuyiladi Suresh Nayak, Yashpal Suvarna, national council member Reshma Uday Shetty, district vice president Gurme Suresh Shetty, Udupi taluk panchayat president Nalini Pradeep Rao and district election organizing committee members were present.
