Kargal: Another person dies of monkey fever

Kargal, Apr 1: Another victim has died due to monkey fever in Aralagodu gram panchayat limits near Kargal.

The victim was Jegala resident Siddartha Indra Jain (70). He was treated for fever in Aralagodu hospital twenty days ago and later admitted to Manipal hospital for additional treatment. He died on Sunday without responding to treatment.

Congress leader Kagodu Thimmappa visited the residence of the deceased and offered condolences to the family. He said that he will try to get compensation from the government for the family. He was accompanied by leader B R Jayanth.

Kagodu Thimmappa visited Aralagodu government hospital and Jegala village and enquired about the problems faced by people. He obtained details of medical facilities in the hospital and preventive measures taken up by the departments of forests and revenue.

He said that he will hold discussions with the chief minister after elections and try to release compensation to affected families.
