Mangaluru, Apr 1: Dr M N Rajendra Kumar was reelected as the president of SCDCC Bank in the recent concluded elections at the bank head office on March 22.

Sixteen candidates of SCDCC bank won against Sahakari Bharathi as they fielded only 14 candidates in the elections. All members of co-operative societies cast their votes. SCDCC Bank administrative board’s candidates under the leadership of Dr Rajendra Kumar contested the elections and all the 16 candidates won the elections against the Sahakari Bharati candidates.

Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, Bhaskar S Kotian, Vinay Kumar Soorinje, K Harischandra, S Raju Poojary, M Mahesh Hegde, Deviprasad Shetty, B Ashok Kumar Shetty, K S Devaraj, Sashikumar Rai, B M Vadiraj Shetty, B Niranjan, T G Rajaram Bhat, Monappa Shetty Yekkaru, K Jairaj B Rai and S B Rai contested and won the elections against the Sahakari Bharati candidates.

Speaking on the occasion, president of SCDCC Bank Dr M N Rajendra Kumar said, "SCDCC Bank has a vast history of 114 years and I have successfully served for 25 years as the chairman of this bank. All the 16 candidates have gained upper hand in the elections. I will not bring politics into bank and will not politicise co-operative sectors.”
