Sullia, Apr 2: A well belonging to farmer, Honnappa Kondala from Kollamogru village, was almost parched. On Sunday, unexpectedly, water began to spring in this well. It came as a blessing for the family which was facing acute water shortage because of scorching summer.

Honnappa Gowda's family lives near Kollamogru downtown. On Sunday they had left for their ancient family home. When they returned at night, they could hear some sound emanating from their well. They peeped into the well and found that water level was steadily increasing in the well. The dried well was found to have got three feet of standing water. Water springs seemed to have been created around the well and water level continued to rise because of the springs on Monday too.

Honnappa Kondala said that this well always had water shortage in summer. He said that he thought his well would go totally dray in a couple of days and that he is surprised by the sudden gushing of water into his well. His neighbours too are happy. He says he is not bothered why and how the water level in the well went up.

This well was dug in 1989 and in every summer it went dry. Several families in the locality used water from this water when available. People have begun using this fresh water and it is found to be natural. People from villages around the place have been flocking the well to have a look at this miraculous phenomenon.
