Mangaluru: Live demo for making pot compost held by JCI Ganeshpura

Mangaluru, Apr 2: Swachhta Sampark Abhiyan and live demo on making pot compost was organized at Dr B R Ambedkar Bhavan, Katipalla under the auspices of JCI Ganeshpura. Umanath Kotekar, chief coordinator of Ramakrishna Mission Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan was the chief guest on the occasion. He spoke on the need for keeping one’s surroundings clean and gave information regarding the various programmes of Ramakrishna Mission Swachhta Andolan.

Satish Sadanand, Chief Coordinator of Swacch Surathkal Abhiyan, was the resource person for the programme. He briefed the gathering on making pot compost using wet waste and gave detailed information on every stage of the process.



Addressing the gathering Udaya Kumar, President of JCI Ganeshpura, expressed happiness regarding the programmes being conducted under Ramakrishna Mission Swachhta Andolan and praised the contribution made to the movement by MRPL as the main sponsors.

Past president of JCI Ganeshpura Dr Sampath Kumar welcomed the dignitaries to the dais. Secretary Shashikumar thanked the gathering. Other present on the occasion were Dayanand (president of Dr B R Ambedkar Bhavan and general secretary of Mahakali Daivasthana), Navinakshi Sadashiva Bhandary (representative of Sri Dharmasthala Self Help Groups’ ‘B’ Federation), Jaceeret president Bharathi Shrisha Karmaran, programme director Sanna Maaresh, past presidents Vanitha Anchan, Chethan B. Amin, Lakshmeesha Anchan, Shrisha Karmaran, immediate past president Smitha P Holla, Prsahanth K A, Shreenith and Bharath.

Members of Dharmasthala Self Help, JCI Ganeshpura and locals participated in the training programme.
