Mangalore: Srinivas College of Hotel Management Hosts Food Fest

:  The annual food festival of Srinivas College of Hotel Management, ‘Spring-09’ was inaugurated by R Dileep, additional superintendent of police, on Saturday March 7.
 
Hotel management students prepared attractive vegetable and fruit carvings to increase the aesthetic appeal of the festival. Punjabi cuisine and coastal delicacies were the theme for this year.

The coastal cuisine included a variety of chicken items and there was a buffet for the visitors to enjoy.

 


There were 18 items prepared for the festival by the hotel management students. 
 
The festival began with a two-hour long variety entertainment programme by students. The games stalls and ‘chaat’ stalls proved very popular with the students.
 
The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Vijayalakshmi Institute of Hospitality Sciences.  
 
A Ragahavendra Rao, president, A Shamarao  Foundation,  D Shashikala  Rao, secretary, Srinivas Rao, vice-president,  as well as principals Prof Annet Florence and Prof Anil Kumar were present at the inaugural programme.
