Bengaluru: Days after denied LS ticket, Tejaswini Ananth Kumar made BJP vice-president

Bengaluru, Apr 3: The BJP has appointed Tejaswini Ananth Kumar as the state vice-president of the party days after she missed Lok Sabha ticket.

BJP president B S Yeddyurappa tweeted on Tuesday about the appointment. "I am very delighted to announce that Smt. @Tej_AnanthKumar has been appointed as state vice president of @BJP4Karnataka. Wishing her all the very best," he tweeted.

 

Tejaswini was the frontrunner for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Bengaluru South constituency. However, ticket was denied to her at the last moment and the BJP fielded party youth leader Tejasvi Surya from her late husband's constituency.

However, the denial of ticket received calm reaction from her.

    Thejaswni Aunty will have to perform in this position to prove herself and then be eligible for a ticket. We have to admit here that this party is fielding the right capable candidate and not on 'family' and on 'influence ' basis. Congi is only for Gandhis. Despite 30 plus defeats RaGA is still the PM material. Priyanka Vadra is the UP chief, who appears in Indian attires only during elections. Reason she is the 'Gandhi ' and her nose resembles Indira Gandhi and the slaves see Indira in her. Come on???
    Down south, the Gowdas have 6 members from their family and now its 2 grandsons turn to contest. Without any experience that too. What an Irony.
