Kundapur, Apr 3: A Congress worker pulled the mike from the hands of senior Congress leader M A Gafoor, when he was addressing the party workers at the Kundapur Block Congress meet at N R Shetty Hall in Kundapur on Tuesday, April 2.

The mike was pulled by Choradu Ashok Shetty, who told the senior leader has no right to speak about Congress workers, who are sincerely serving the party. He also said that the Congress workers condemn him.

The sudden outburst shocked all the people. It is said that Gafoor was condemned as he spoke against Congress leader Prathapchandra Shetty in district Congress meet.

District-in-charge minister Jayamala tried to calm down the angry party workers. “Prathapchandra Shetty is a senior Congress leader and his contribution to the party is immense. We are all working under his guidance. We have great respect for him,” she said and tried to pacify the workers.

She also said that than leaders who sit on the stage, the workers who work for the party are important.

Later, JD(S)-Congress coalition candidate Pramod Madhwaraj also spoke about Prathapchandra Shetty.
