Udupi, Apr 3: “There is environment conducive to coalition candidate Pramod Madhwaraj in Chikkamagaluru. We expect that in Udupi also. Party activists and presidents of different units should involve in this direction,” said AICC secretary Vishnunad. He was speaking in election review meeting of block and different units held in district Congress bhavan.

“MP Shobha Karandlaje has not implemented any projects and failed without responding to the people’s needs during her term. Congress party activists need to convert that as votes in favour of Pramod Madhwaraj. As our president is contesting in Wayanad, Kerala there is no doubt that it will have a positive effect in Karnataka state,” he said.

“A creative person, Pramod Madhwaraj has lost due to false propaganda in last Vidhan sabha elections. We should be cautious that it will not happen this time,” said district in charge minister Dr Jayamala.

District congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavooru, KPCC chief secretary M A Gafoor, G A Bava, party’s Dinesh Putran, Veronica Cornelio, Navin D’ Souza, Mangaluru, Bhasker Rao Kidiyoor, Diwaker Kunder, Harish Kini, Udyavar Nagesh Kumar, Geetha Vagle, Christan Almeida, block presidents Shekar Madiwala, Manjunath Poojary, Navinchandra Suvarna, Sathish Ameen Padukere, Malyadi Shivarama Shetty, Chandrika Shetty, Ismael Atradi, Shashidhar Shetty Eloor, Suresh Naik, Roshni Olivera, Dr Sunita Shetty, Keerthi Shetty, Janardhan Bhandarker, Sathish Poojary, Habib Ali and others were present.
