Mangaluru, Apr 3: "Politicians are not serving the society. It looks like the people of this country are serving politicians, officers and bureaucrats. Hence, politicians or elected representatives do not deserve any publicity through media. Voters should have all rights to question their representatives based on their work and working style," said Upendra, founder of Uttama Prajakeeya Party (UPP).

In a press meet held at press club, he showed the opposition parties’ election manifestos and said, “There is no authentication of election manifestos in India. A genuine manifesto should be notified and authorised by court. When political parties are failing to deliver what they promised in the manifesto, there should be rights for voters to recall their representatives. But in India, election manifesto is a book of false promises. No party is bothered about election manifesto after their candidates’ victory.

“UPP does not have any election manifesto. UPP candidates will ask people want and work according to it. UPP does not favour any political movement. It will purely work amongst people and strongly oppose political interference in developmental works. Our party wants a disciplined administrative system which will run on the money of taxpaying people,” he said.

Briefing about UPP’s election preparation he said, “We will contest in all 28 constituencies. Elected representatives will receive salaries which are from people paying taxes. Hence, we define people’s representative as salaried workers of voters. Keeping this rule in mind, our candidates will seek vote. Vijay Srinivas, a Bengaluru based auto driver is our candidate in Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency,” he said.

After the press meet, Upendra met voters at Ladyhill and sought vote for Vijay Srinivas.

This guy is different and always thinks differently.. I respect this guy bcoz without any political background he wants to show to the world what he can do. His films are also unique . He is a fighter. Cost and time involved in politics should definitely come down and more powers in the hands of public other than the voting right will be better for country. Each leader should think like a servant to the public and we public should also not depend on these leaders and work with self respect and work for the benefit of the country and its people. Its a social responsibility of each one of us. Best wishes Uppi.

Actually holding big rallies and people spending their whole day, listening to their fooling statements, year after year, encourages and inspires people's representatives to fool more and more.
Leaders realise that people attending rallies are actually fools, for they come every time to get fooled again and again 😀
And we say we are educated 😀

    Very correctly stated.
Only in India, (bearing few undeveloped countries) people are treating, people' s representative as deities, even if they don't work, even if they swindle people's money, even if they make people fight between themselves!
It's time for the people to change the attitude and educate themselves!
