Udupi, Apr 3: Krishnamurthy Acharya has been appointed as the Congress campaign committee president for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency.
Acharya, a noted social worker is active in various social service organisations around Kinnimulky area.
Krishnamurthy’s appointment was done on the recommendations of Udupi Block Congress president Satish Amin Padukere, Brahmavara Block Congress president Nithyananda Shetty and Udupi District Campaigning Committee president Dinesh Puthran.
The appointment was announced in a small function organised as part of Pramod Madhwaraj's campaign, who is contesting in Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency.
District Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Dinesh Putran, MA Gafoor, Diwakar Kundar, Kishan Hegde Kolkebail, Vasudev Yadiyal, Satish Amin Padukere and B Narasimha Murty were present on the occasion.
