Mangaluru: MP Nalin did nothing to stop Vijaya Bank merger - Mahabala Marla

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Apr 3: Former mayor Mahabala Marla on Wednesday, April 3 said that MP Nalin Kumar Kateel did not show any interest to stop Vijaya Bank from being merged with Bank of Baroda and Dena Bank.

Addressing media here on Wednesday April 3, the former mayor said, "Vijaya Bank was under profit and it was merged with Bank of Baroda and Dena Bank which are under severe loss. In a fraud case in South Africa, Dena Bank was blacklisted. In the year 2018, RBI had imposed certain restrictions on the bank. Even after all such negative development, the recommendation for merger was done.

"MP Nalin did not take this bank merger issue seriously. It was his responsibility to save Vijaya Bank from getting merged with other banks. In order to save his candidature, MP Nalin preferred not to utter a single word on this issue. People will definitely answer him in the upcoming elections.

“MP Nalin has diverted the minds of people by lying and is unnecessarily blaming Congress leaders Veerappa Moily and Chidambaram,” he said.

Congress leaders Stany Alvares, Suresh Ballal and others were present.

when the private entity was nationalised, the veteran and now retired congress leaders were silent. Now it is a govt entity. Any merger or closure will be based on the present day requirement. If it is affecting the employees, then making noise is acceptable. Who are these guys to fight for Bunts community who themselves could not name a road in Mangalore in the memory of former Chairman of Vijaya Bank. Stop all this sloganeering and this will not fetch any votes. Hypocrites.

Take your money out of Vijaya Bank before it turns into Guju bank. Soon Airport, banks, and important institutions will be run by Guju's. They are all moving to Karnataka because Guju's know that is where the money is. Locals of Karnataka will be out of jobs and will be replaced by Guju's!

Prime Minister Modi and the BJP has made 88 years old Shetty's 'Vijaya Bank' history. In 2018 'Vijaya Bank' is the only two banks announced its profit in India when a giant like SBI and PNB announced losses after Nirav Modi fled India duping $2 Billion and settled in London.

When depositors money of 'Vijaya bank' still in questions, about 1,700 Jan Dhan bank accounts in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district received suspicious deposits during the poll season. About ₹10,000 each, totalling about ₹1.7 crore, have been deposited in these accounts over the past few days.
The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) was launched on August 28, 2014, with an aim to provide universal access to banking facilities for all households now became possible abuse by political candidates as a bribe to voters.
The cashless economy of BJP's vision has made some rich in short time. The BJP which is predicted to spend Rs90,000 crores in 2019 elections is no dearth of money.

Electoral bonds worth ₹1,716 crore sold in January, March as per the reply made on April 1 in response to March 15 RTI application, these bonds were issued in denominations of ₹1,000, ₹10,000, ₹1 lakh, ₹10 lakh, and ₹1 crore.

Already RBI has given Rs30,000 crores to the central government. Rest will make round-about from the Caribbean, Mauritius, Middle East thanks Modi's Bhai Mehul, Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi, Vijay Mallya, Rotomac Vikram Kothari, Winsome Diamond Jatin Mehta and so on. (Gautam Adani niece married to Jatin Mehta son, while nephew married to Vikram Kothari Son).

To save Ambani, Adani's in-laws PM Modi has to snatch the bread of Tulu Nadu merging it to loss-making banks of Gujarati drowned with bad loans.

MP Nalin who wished to burn Mangalore went unsuccessful. But he destroyed 'Vijaya Bank' without any fire with absolute silence.

I think this corporator should concentrate on his ward first rather speaking issues out of the box . Mistakly elected by the ward to do no work n give poses during vip arrivals and make these kind of unnecessary press meet.
Plz DNT waste ur time as well as our time .

If Nalin was not sleeping and had concern for the pride of Mangalroe-Vijaya Bank, he should have seen the new merged banks would retain the name of Vijaya Bank and not the losss making gujju bank.

How an local MP can stop a Central Government Cabinet decision to merge the government entities. Vijaya Bank did loose its own identity on Nationalisation decades ago. However, just wait and watch for more interesting mergers to take place in the near future.

Nalin could have at least done something to retain the name of Vijaya Bank. Ironic to note that a well running profit making bank has gone out of existence while the insolvent bank still exists.
