New Delhi, Mar 13: Home minister P Chidambaram submitted answers to Pakistan 30 questions on Mumbai terror attack to external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee on Friday.

Chidambaram said that India’s reply to Pakistan‘s 30 queries is comprehensive.

“Now Pakistan must prove its intent by acting on the details”, he added.

While asserting that every answer is supported with detailed evidence, Chidambaram said, “If anyone is serious about the probe they will act”.

Meanwhile, there is no confirmation on when India will hand over the reply to Islamabad. Though sources in the external ministry say the process will be conducted soon.

The home ministry received replies from everyone who has been involved in the Mumbai investigations from all over the country. They then framed this dossier, which will now be given to Pranab Mukherjee.

Whether India will summon the Pakistan High Commissioner to India or will hand over the document to India's High Commissioner in Islamabad will be left to see.

Following this hand over of reply, sources said, India will expect Pakistan to take the investigations a step forward and prosecute those who are in the custody, or apprehend more people who have been involved in the carnage.

Earlier, Pakistani investigators had informed the government that they may have to stop their probe into the Mumbai attacks due to lack of cooperation by authorities in India and several other countries.
