Dubai: Dr B K Yusuf re-elected president of Bearys Cultural Forum

Dubai, Apr 24: Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF) Trust conducted its 12th annual general body meeting at M E Moolur's Residential Hall in here.

The BCF entered its 17th year of operations in the United Arab Emirates and India.

Ashraf Satikal recited the Quran. Dr Kaup began the AGM. Dr Kaup, the GS of the BCF Trust welcomed all the members to the AGM including the ladies wing members. He said that as per the provisions of the trust regulations, the AGM of BCF has been convened in order to fulfill the requirements of all the stakeholders of the BCF Trust Mangalore. He opened up the BCF's AGM. He also mentioned that the AGM will be presided over by BCF's beloved president Dr B K Yusuf.

Yakub Dewa, chairman of AGM welcomed all the members to the BCF's AGM. He said that they had completed 17 years of existence serving the community and thanked everyone. He also mentioned that everyone should bring in lot more creative ideas for the BCF and mentioned that all should be involved in the development of BCF. He also emphasised construction of a school and requested all the members to donate generously.



Dr B K Yusuf, president of BCF welcomed all the executive members including the ladies wing members and thanked all of them for attending this AGM. He also thanked them for supporting BCF at all times. He mentioned about the historical circumstances when the BCF started, all the way back from his residence at Jumeirah and said he is proud of all the office bearers for working in the BCF day in and day out and said that he continued with the BCF as president because of the love and affection of all the members. He thanked the chairman of the scholarship committee, iftar committee and sports committee for their excellent work in doing BCF's event. Dr B K Yusuf expressed his gratitude to all BCF committee members for their relentless support and unity in carrying out the charitable activities.

M E Moolur vice president mentioned that BCF is like a family free to talk to each other. He said he is happy that the AGM is conducted in his Residence Hall. He also mentioned about the best leaders which BCF is having including the president Dr B K Yusuf. He mentioned that scholarship is collaborated with Iftar and several other projects including BCF’s future plan of establishing a full fledged BCF Job Oriented Technical Institution at Mangaluru. He thanked the BCF ladies wing for their immense contribution to BCF. He advised the BCF members to follow the teaching of Prophet Mohammed SAS and adopt the Islamic value of Universal brotherhood.

Latif Mulky, vice president thanked all the members including the ladies wing members. He also thanked Dr B K Yusuf for his continuous guidance. He said all this, with the grace of Allah. He said we have the best office bearers.

Afeeq, vice president thanked all the members of the BCF and said that his support to the BCF is forever.

Mumtaz, president of ladies wing thanked Dr Yusuf for being a good leader to BCF and all the lady wing members for their support from time to time. She also thanked all the executive committee members for their continuous support.

Dr Kaup presented the video show and used power point presentation to depict the BCF's activities and projects. The Hon General Secretary Dr Kaup read the minutes of the previous and the same was confirmed by the general body members. Dr Kaup apprised the social activities done by BCF in UAE and India. He mentioned that BCF primarily conducts students' educational scholarship function every year under the chairmanship of M E Moolur whereby more than 650 poor students are issued educational scholarships in Mangaluru. He mentioned that BCF concentrates on issuing educational scholarships which lead to a platform for bringing up the poor families in terms of their status, livelihood and education. Dr Kaup mentioned that till today in the last 17 years, BCF has issued scholarship to several thousands of students. He also mentioned that BCF conducts Iftar every year under the chairmanship of Latif Mulky and it has been very successful. Similarly, BCF also conducts Sports Day every year under the chairmanship of Sajpa and Afeeq and the sports events are very successful.

Abdul Lathif Mulky, the vice president, thanked all the members and read out the list of items/gifts maintained by BCF for the year 2017 and 2018. Ataullah / Mumtaz presented the statement of accounts for the year 2017 and 2018. Dr Kaup, the internal auditor presented the audit report of BCF for the period 2017 and 2018.

All the members of the managing committee for the year 2017 and 2018 were relieved and the platform was given to the AGM chairman Yakub Dewa to manage the election process for BCF.

Dr Kaup Mohamed thanked all the members for providing an opportunity to serve BCF in the year 2017 and 2018. He mentioned that the strength of BCF is its members who work day and night to serve the poor people of society in the state of Karnataka in India.

The following members were elected to the central executive committee and ladies wing executive committee for 2019 and 2020.

Samad Birali proposed the vote of thanks and thanked Dr Yusuf for presiding over the meeting, thanked all the executive members and also thanked all the ladies wing members. He also thanked the sponsors of dinner namely Dr Yusuf, VPs and GS and Yakub Dewa. He also thanked ME Moolur for providing the venue, sweets and tea.

The introduction of the new managing committee was done at Dr B K Yusuf's residence at Jumeirah Island followed by a gala dinner sponsored by Dr Yusuf.
