The body of an auto rickshaw driver who was brutally murdered by unidentified persons was found in Sagri Nole near Manipal on Thursday March 26.
 
The deceased has been identified as Ranjith D’Souza (29), resident of Perampalli. According to the locals he had bought a new auto rickshaw just a month ago.



He used to park the auto for hire near Perampalli Church. The body was found near his new auto.
 
Police suspect that Ranjith was murdered by miscreants elsewhere and his body dumped in Sagri Nole afterwards. Blood stains were found on the seats of the vehicle.

Locals report having seen Ranjith at the Perampalli Church rickshaw stand till 7.30 pm on Wednesday March 25.
 
Manipal circle inspector BG Achar visited the spot and collected information.

    Our Judiciary, law and order and security department is not strong therefore this type of brutalities are taking place in Mangalore and in India. As the murderes are aware that the lawyers are the tools to make murders free easily from the crimes and make them to roam freely . If our State as well as the central Govt. shouldput the  the murderer behind bars until his death without bail or parole.

    Hope the police do their duty sincerely and get to the base of the issue and give justice and do not ignore because it is a Christian. Peace can only be ensured when crime is tackled when it is committed first and not let to continue if in case it is by a more fowerful group... Justice of the Almighty will take its course and does not see if it is minority or majority....

    Murder of an Christian or Muslim should not be opined as communal, untill unless proved so.The brutality is visible in the snap.His clothings including inner wear as been pulled out and his Auto rickshaw's front tyre has been placed near his crotch.God rest his soul in peace and give strength to his family members to bear the loss.
