Chitradurga: Slap on Govt's Face - Minister Shekhar Repents Supporting Yeddyurappa

Daijiworld Media Network - Chitradurga (SP)

Chitradurga, Mar 31: Independent MLA and state youth services and sports minister Goolihatti Shekar  came down heavily on chief minister B S Yeddyurappa for not caring to consult him on issues concerning the district. He said he was repentant about his decision to extend support to Yeddyurappa for putting the BJP-led government in the saddle, when the BJP was short of numbers.

"After Yeddyurappa sought my support for his chief ministership and on being approached by Karumakar Reddy and Janardhan Reddy, I decided to support Yeddyurappa's aspirations to become chief minister. If I had refused to support him, he would not have become the chief minister. Even though I am a cabinet rank minister now, I have no say in any issues including transfers in the district," Shekhar rued.

Speaking to newsmen at Hosadurga near here on Sunday March 29, the minister said, he was disappointed about not being consulted before fielding Janardhan Swamy, a non-resident Indian from Chitradurga Lok Sabha constituency by the BJP. None of the three ministers from the district were consulted before choosing Swamy from this constituency, he claimed.

It may be recalled that Shekhar had surrendered his car and thrown away the file after the chief minister, who was approached at his residence, had refused to pay heed to his request for affecting transfer of an official. The CM had pacified him later. He also claimed, he was able get his work done through the government easily during the Kumaraswamy regime, even though he was not a minister then.

It is better you resign. If you continue it will be a burden on good governance. I feel all the educated from Karnataka have migrated to other places. I hope the educated people return to their states.

This is a sour grape story. I dont understand why should BJP consult an independent MLA while choosing their MP candidates. It appears that he was excepting a seat for his kith and kins. It also shows that everybody in government want to excrisie their power and transfer the one whom they dont like. If he is so concerned, he should leave the government.

This fool spent about a crore to win in the election. He was just a taluk panchayat candidate before. His son was in a govt job during kumaraswamy govt (Granite mining). By getting hefty bribe his son started earning lot of money and helped this guy to win the election and right from the begining he started getting royal ride by using the opportunity. Now his greed is not full, he wants more..more...more...more..his son has looted people and he is looting the state and expecting sympathy from people. MORON. Resign from your job and do the job of your ability.

Now people can think about ruling governments. They are interested only pulling the leaders from other party by paying huge amount or ministerial post and they are not interested in developing. Only some greedy leaders jumped to ruling party because of their selfish. Even though we can realize that now how sports minister is facing the difficulties with the CM rather than earlier CM Kumaraswamy as he is already acknowleded. This government is ruling by RSS beyond the screen and they want to capture our democratic country in their hand. That is why they want to brain wash our backward people/uneducated people by creating communal crises. Dear voters please think 100 times before you vote. Your one valuable vote can save our people by dividing our country as well as community betweent the people.
