Mangalore: DCIB Sleuths Arrest Two More Accomplices of Rashid Malabari

Mangalore, Apr 2: The members of the district crime intelligence bureau (DCIB) on Thursday April 2 arrested two more alleged associates of notorious criminal Rashid Malabari.  

The arrested have been identified as Ibrahim (27), a resident of Kottari Bettu in Belapu, and Abdul Muthalip (34), a resident of Kaup, both in Udupi district.  

Police said that these two were assisting Malabari in pinpointing routes of politicians in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts and also provided shelter to Malabari for six months.    


Malabari, a criminal who figures on the Interpol’s list of wanted persons was arrested on Sunday March 29 along with four others. Malabari was remanded to police custody for three days.  

Ullal police will be looking into the latest arrests and pursue the investigation further. Inspector Venkatesh Prasanna, assistant sub-inspector Narayana Maniyani, head constable Narendra, constables Chethan Botyadi, Dinesh Bekal, Prashanth, Shashidhar Shetty, Ganesh, Darmendra, Santhosh Padeel, and drivers Shantha Shetty and Devayya  were involved in this  operation.

    There is good information for police from Daiji website. I am happy if police note such wonderful space provided by Daijiworld which apparently helps the cops. Read through the comments and for sure intelligence should be able to find some one who will have some links or support for these culprits. Cheers

    This is toally a rubbish. If they were truly part of his gang, do you think they should have stayed back? They would have escaped!! Sangh Pariwar is 'fixing' all innocent minorities to gain 'Hindutwa' votes. We all should stay united and defeat Hindu-hooligans.
