UAE President pardons 3,005 prisoners ahead of Ramadan

Abu Dhabi, May 3: UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, pardoned sentence of 3,005 prisoners now serving various terms in the UAE prisons, ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

He also promised that the financial obligations of the released prisoners will be settled.

The gesture is part of President Sheikh Khalifa's attempt to provide prisoners an opportunity to start a new life and alleviate their family’s hardships.
