Mangalore, Apr 5: The Stations of the Cross and passions of Jesus Christ were held with religious fervour at Blessed Joseph Vaz pilgrimage shrine, Mudipu, here on Sunday April 5 evening. The theme for this year was ‘Let us bravely face our trials and tribulations like Jesus on the Cross.’
Thousands of faithful from the entire Mangalore diocese joined in the Stations of Cross by walking almost 3 kilometers of distance from Blessed Joseph Vaz parish to Pilgrimage Shrine located on a nearby hill resembling the Calvary.
Kayyar Christ the King parish priest Fr Anil D’Souza and Nityadar Nagar Our Lady of Perpetual Succour parish priest Fr Francis Crasta conducted the Stations of Cross. Mudipu Blessed Joseph Vaz parish priest Fr Andrew D’Souza heard the confessions of faithful and conducted the Adoration of Holy Sacrament at Pilgrimage Shrine.
The Stations of Cross held in this picturesque surrounding of Blessed Joseph Vaz Pilgrimage Shrine, indeed enveloped the thousands of faithful with religious fervour by glimpses of Christ’s suffering on the cross.

The cross of Jesus Christ is the universal declartion of "the vertical relationship with God and horizontal relationship with the fellow human beings". The way of the cross and the message will create a revolution of love, and we need it so direcly at these troublesome times: both politically and economically.

Mr Prakash Mangalore, My friend I am not against you hindus. Hindus are by and large good and peace lovers. I am not against any samajotsava/paryaya/jatre/nemotsava You have every right to practice your faith. But I am against those muslims/hindus/christians who expolit their religious platforms/occassions to spread communual hatred and violence. Why after the samajotsava, there was communual falre up? Have you seen in these pictures, how these christian brothers are peaceful. They didnot create any commotion. In the same way, I need all communities to observe their faith in peaceful way without disturbing others. My logic apllies in its equal measure to muslims too. They too should not use their religious platform/occasions to incite/spread violence towards christians and hindus. For me religion is a personal matter and it should remain so. We are Indians and must remain so. We are to be identified as Tuluva/kannadiga/bharaity and not as hindu/christin/muslim. We all are one and equal in front of God. Religion must be used as a tool to disturb peace. We educated and like minded people like you must stand up against these forces. For me you are human being first and Indian. You may be a hindu/christian/muslim. It makes no difference. What is important to me is humanity and peace. I wish you during Diwali/navarathri/ugadi, You wish me on eids. But let us wish each other on repulic day/independance day/karnataka day. That is sahabalvane my friend.,

Its marvellous. Faithfuls belief and faith is strenghtened by these celebrations. It just reinforces their faith and trust in Devine God. Please go ahead and do this. Dont be afraid of these antisocial elements. My christian brothers you being Indians, have every right to practice your faith.

Dear all, Very very wonderful way of cross which you held. Jesus christ has died for us on the cross to save our life. If we really feel his death by the bottom of our heart really we will change our life and help others to change their life.
