UAE: Vishwakarmas Launch Community Website

Sharjah, Apr 6: Vishwakarma Seva Samithi, UAE. launched its website www.vishwakarmas.org recently in Sharjah, dedicated to the Vishwakarma community spread all over the world.
The formal inauguration on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi Habba for the Vishwakarma community, was held in the august presence of the renowned Jyothishi, Vaastu Consultant and an expert on Zodiacal Gem-stones Sri Sri Ashok Purohit from Mumbai and Walter Nandalike, founder of the path-breaking and highly successful web-site daijiworld.com.
Both Sri Ashok Purohit and Walter D’Souza congratulated the Vishwakarma Seva Samithi for this great leap forward into the exciting world of web and its phenomenal reach far and wide in the service of humanity.
The solemn occasion kicked off with the traditional offering of the Pooja preceded by the soulful rendering of Bhajans by the Committee members of the Seva Samithi presided by the ever-green Shri Shantaram Acharya.
In his customary post-inauguration speech, Sri Ashok Purohit congratulated the Vishwakarma Seva Samithi, UAE based in Dubai – saying that the launch of this website is a giant leap for not only the Vishwakarmans of UAE but for the Vishwakarmans of the entire world – for the reach of website is limitless and goes beyond all human or geographical boundaries.
He further said that he could see that special zeal and enthusiasm in the entire community based in this our adopted ‘Karma-Bhoomi’ during his earlier presence here during the ‘Vishwakarma Pooja’ held in October 2008. That this would lead to such a land-mark event of launch of a website augurs very well for not only the Vishwakarmans but the entire Indian Community in opening up new vistas of activity in the service of humanity. He was all praise for the UAE Vishwakarma Seva Samithi’s working Committee by acknowledging whole-heartedly their continuous pursuit of social activities for the good of humanity.
Walter Nandalike's address was a surprise package. For a person who has been away from his motherland for so long, to hear him talk in chaste Kannada with flawless rendering of his thoughts was a grand treat. Nandalike is humility personified that a person of his stature to be so down-to-earth, so humble and yet so broad-minded in his vision is a remarkable bundle of contradictions. He was so approachable, talked so passionately about his brain-child the ‘Daijiworld’ website, that he nurtured and saw it grow from strength to strength over the last nine years is a bench-mark for newly launched Vishwakarma website. He not only had a lot for good words for the look and feel of the newly launched website by saying that this product was far more superior in both look and content, than their own website when it was launched way back in 2001 !.
The day’s proceedings wound up with an equally loquacious vote of thanks by our President Shri Shantaram Acharya. He also assured the dignitaries that we all would work hard to make the web-site a useful platform for not only the Vishwakarmans but also for all the Kannadigas/Indians spread around the world.
The gathering dispersed after enjoying the sumptuous and delectable home-made ‘holige’ and ‘payasam’ befitting the solemn occasion of ‘Ugadi’.
