Hats off to Sir Wilfy on his great achievements. Looking at the photos, it reminded me of another great personality in there - Father Walter Albuqerque. Ever since my boyhood I have had great admiration for this father who has been so humble, soft spoken, pious and helpful in spite of being given this great talent of singing and playing the violin. If I were to give a award for the best violinist of this era, it is you Father Albuquerque.

Undboutedly Wilfy's music is a class by itself. Both in lyrics and music he has achieved a status unique as well as above all else. Wilfy's is not the music that one will want to turn off no matter how many times you listen to it. Wilfy is to the Konkany music what Beatles were to the western music.Congratulations and good wishes that Wilfy keeps ascending higher.

Indeed the real King of Konkani Language, I have personally interacted with Wilfyab in numerous occassions, every time he has been humble and friendly. His presence itself commands respect. All konkani community looks upto him as he has become a role model for many aspiring singers and song writers.

His never ending romance with Konkani language stands him tall in the community. His humblness and patience made him a Icon of Konakani Language. I pray for his good health so that he may continue his romance with the Language he loves most will never end. congratulations Wilfyab and good luck.

It is notable that, the songs and music of Wilfy Rebimbus is worthy of research. His songs were relevant to the day to day situations and condition.Be it Bhopal gas tragedy,be Indian politics,Mangalorean Konkani or Tulu culture. His songs have touched the odd cord in the life of many individuals and particularly the Christian community.

We can equate him with great literatures and writers of Kannada who wrote on socially relevant issues.Wilfs songs are worthy of deep study and will be a mirror to the Indian and Konkani culture.

To win the respect and affection of people, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better by your good deeds, to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded! Wilfy Rebimbus' has not aimed for success because he wants it he is just doing what he loves and believes in - he has made Konkani stand up tall among other languages. Congratulations! You very well deserve the honor of being called the King of Konkani language.
