    Mangalore, April 12: The music lovers  of the city enjoyed the  Bejai Baila  show at Lourdes central school grounds in Bejai, organised by Catholic  Sabha Bejai unit, on Easter  Sunday, April 12.

    The show was inaugurated with a formal  function presided by  the Bishop of Mangalore, Dr Aloysius Paul D souza.  In his speech he said, the show was organized for a good cause by the Catholic Sabha Bijai unit and as the good  works always has God’s blessings. He also  wished  success to the catholic sabha in their  steps towards the   good works.

































    The Chief Guest of the evening Clevy  Leo Rodrigus, President, KCO, Abudhabi, said, the catholic sabha is  helping the  needy and they must be supported by everyone.   Anantha Krishna, chairman, Karnataka bank, said, the  sacrifice  for a good cause is the best  way  of service.  He  was also one of the guest of  honour.

    Fr. J P Tauro, spiritual director and parish priest of SFX  Bejai, Joseph Nazareth,  Vice president of bejai  church,  Nelson shirur, the donor of generator to the church  were present on the dais. Metilda Pinto, vice president of Catholic sabha, Bejai unit gave the vote of thanks.

    The  show The baila show lead by Vishwa Konkani Kala rathna, Eric ozario was a mixture of attractive songs, dance and comedy show. The 50  plus artistes of  Guinness record team of Mand Sobhann, Khoraz  team lead by Nellu permannur and  dance  by Naach  sobhann  mesmerized audience by rendering brilliant performance.

    Top ten Finalists of Soad 2  - Lavita Lobo, Shailesh Pereira, Carol Monteiro, Clement Fernades, Priya Menezes, Anjelina Moras and Clarita Lobo  performed with Eric Ozario, Joyce  Ozario, Prakash  D’souza, Rani Kogul Ammabelle Moras.

    Gurukiran, the ace Kannada film music director entertained the packed audience with  Tulu and Kannada songs  and Adolf Jayathilak with Konkani popular numbers gave a special  appearance at the show. The guitar maestro Alwyn  Fernandes  performed as a guest artistes with brilliant rendition on  guitar.

    The catholic sabha felicitated  Eric ozario for his achievement. The  DVD format of  comedy  collections by Khoraz team, Khoraz also released at the show.

    The total  3 hour show  was compered by Titus Norohnha and Melita Pinto.

      Dear Daijiworld..... You have done an excellent jon in the coverage of the show and of all the events in and around mangalore.Thank you for the same. I do have a small suggestion... Mangalore is the birthplace of umpteen great musicians who have rendered their talent all around. I found no photo of musicians in the album or the albums before. They are the people who keep the show alive by playing continuosly for the full duration and they practice a lot too,for that. Hence it is my request that they too be potrayed and be given their place in your albums in the future. Thank you.
