Dubai: Bearys Cultural Forum Felicitates Dr B R Shetty and Dr Shantaram Shetty

Dubai, Apr 14: Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF), UAE felicitated Prof. Dr. M. Shantaram Shetty, President of Indian Orthopedic Association and Padmashri Dr. B.R. Shetty, Managing Director & CEO, NMC, UAE in a Felicitation Function organized at the Banquet Hall of Coral Hotel in Dubai, hosted by Dr. B.K. Yusuf, President, BCF.
The Felicitation Function started with musical concerts organized by Haneef Perliya and M.B. Akbar followed by a group dance organized by kids and traditional Duff Program organized by the Muslim Association from Kundapur.
At the onset of the program, a two minute silence was observed by the audience in view of the death of B.M. Iddinabba, a noted Kannada Lyricist, Writer and ex-MLA from Ullala.

M.E. Moolur, the Vice President of BCF gave an introduction of the BCF, UAE and empahsised on the relationship between the people irrespective of their caste, creed and religion. Dr. B.K. Yusuf delivered an inaugural speech. He spoke in kannada and English and focused on the achievements of Dr. M. Shantaram Shetty and Dr. B.R. shetty. Dr. Yusuf stated that a blend of compassionate people like Dr. Shantaram and Dr. B.R. Shetty will overcome the problems of the people with their skills to serve humanity.
Dr. Kaup stated that besides a strong academic acumen, the Doctors’ community involves a culmination of right attitude, aptitude, character, commitment, demeanor and above all a heart of fulfilling the humanitarian services to the society.
Dr. M. Shantaram Shetty, President of Indian Orthopedic Association, Vice Chancellor, Nitte University, Chairman, Tejaswavini Hospital and a Trustee of AO Foundation, Swtizerland, is imbibed with a number achievements with selfless services in Medicine, Education, corporate social responsibility and philanthropic services for social causes. His profound knowledge delivered to the audience created a good impact on the audience. Dr. B.K. Yusuf presented the Commemorative Award of Felicitation to Dr. M. Shantaram Shetty, in view of his services to the development of the society. Dr. B.R. Shetty presented the Medal of Honour to the BCF’s Star of Karnataka Dr. M. Shantaram Shetty for his contribution to the humanitarian services in the medical field.
Dr. B.R. Shetty, the MD and CEO of NMC has an extensive business empire around the world and has not deterred him from finding time for charitable and social causes. His passion for business has been the quality of mercy and compassion and services for humanitarian purpose. Dr. B.R. Shetty was awarded the Padmashri by the President of India on 31st Marhc, 2009 for his outstanding contribution in trade and business. Dr. B.R. Shetty stated that throughout his life he said he will serve the downtrodden society with devotion, compassion and generosity.
Dr. M. Shantaram Shetty and Dr.B.K. Yusuf presented the Medal of Honour to the Jewel Crown of India Padmashri Dr. B.R. shetty for his humanitarian contribution and life time achievement.
Sarvottam Shetty, the Karntaka’s Rajyotsav Award winner also addressed the audience focusing on the achievements of Dr. M. Shantaram Shetty, Dr. B.R. Shetty and BCF. Dr. Goyal, the President of Orthopedic Association, UAE also praised Dr. M. Shantaram Shetty, Dr. B.R. Shety and BCF for this honour.
