It was a superb event, well organized by daiji team. It is the hardwork of daiji members. Daijidubai is totally dedicated to Konkani. For the past ten years they contributed a lot, and encouraged Konkani literates, artistes, musicians. Our most of the Konkani events, in which konkani is seen less. All other Konkani assocaitions must learn from Daiji. Walty has done great job as MC,with clear Konkani words. Music arrangement by Adrian was excellent, as well as sound engineering. Rony Dcunha & Anita-great performance, I loved the song Fathodechya Kombya. Kenny, was gorgeous.Even Vinay, Dony, Asha,Maria done their best. Comedy circus all are great artistes. Thanks daiji for this great event.

“CONGRATULATIONS” to DAIJI DUBAI. The Decennial Celebrations to mark the 10 th anniversary function of Daiji Dubai held yesterday at the Sh. Rashid Auditorium Dubai was an excellent presentation of their dedication, capabilities, and above all their hunger for achieving excellence in whatever they do.

The Musical Extravaganza coupled with Comedy Circus gave the nearly houseful spectators numbering around 1500 a feast of non stop entertainment and value for their time and money spent. The programme started on time, (full marks to Daiji Dubai), the inauguration of the celebrations was excellent traditional style, the presentation of the Daiji Award 2009 and the Daiji Youth Award 2009, Release of Daiji World regular issue, honoring the guest personalities etc, but what impressed me the most was it was kept short and sweet.

The dignitaries spoke to the point without wasting any time. This followed by the entertainment of the evening which had a right mix of variety of entertainment dosage of well ed Konkani songs from Mangalore and Goa, sung by well known singers who displayed their core strength individually as well as in groups. The right mix of singing, energetic dancing by the ocean kids and the timing of comedy circus in regular intervals enhanced the quality of the programme and entertainment value. Hat’s off to the organizing committee for writing down a good script for the entire programme and carrying it out meticulously without any gaps in-between the events.

The Music of Mr. Adrian Gomes and his team deserve a big applause for their wonderful efforts to entertain the crowd with their wonderful music.

Mr. Walter Nandalike superbly conducted the event with his fantastic gift of vocabulary and in a professional way with good mix of information, humor, crispy and appropriate meaningful comments.

Of course they also had their share of minor goof-ups at regular intervals which were very cleverly covered up by the presence of mind of the organizers. The sound system and lighting was a let down in patches. On the whole it was an excellent, top class presentation which entertained the crowd immensely. With their wonderful all-round performance “Daiji Dubai not only raised their own standard high but also set a new standard for other organizations to catch up. It is a good trend to see in Dubai, that few of the organizations keep on raising their standards of organizing capabilities regularly thus generating a healthy competitions among the many organizations in Dubai to better each one’s performances.

This trend, I am sure would ensure that the Dubai’s population would get better and better programs to watch in the times to come as well as bring the enormous talent that exists here locally to the fore front.

We wish the entire team of “Daiji Dubai” very best in their future ventures and thank them for giving a feast of entertainment. Herman Lewis and RADIO SPICE 105.4 FM TEAM
