Vadodara, Apr 21: BJP corporator Harshit Talati alias Gopi Talati has complained to nodal officer of the Election Commission and city police demanding action against film star Salman Khan, the Congress candidate Satyajjt Gaekwad, leader of the opposition Congress in Vadodara Municipal Corporation Chirag Zaveri and others for damaging the idol of Lord Krishna during the road show conducted by them in the Uma Char Rasta and Waghodiya road area in the city on Sunday.

In his petition to both the election commission nodal officer and police, Talati alleged that a Lord Krishna idol in a roadside temple was deliberately desecrated and thus they have hurt the religious feelings of Hindus staying in the locality and across the country.

Talati, in his identical applications submitted to the Election Commission nodal officer and police, alleged that it was their intention to create communal riot.

Talati said Congress workers belonging to a particular group damaged the idol and the holy book of Gita. Talati demanded action against them under violation of election code of conduct and also asked the police to lodge criminal complaints against them.
