Balighat (MP), Apr 21: Congress star campaigner Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday sought to know from senior BJP leader L K Advani as to why he remembered the black money issue in Swiss Banks only a few weeks before the Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing an election meeting, Rahul said that Advani never thought about the black money stashed in Swiss Banks during the six-year NDA regime when he was the deputy prime minister.
"We know that there is black money in Swiss Banks and the government is trying to bring it back to the country," the Congress general secretary said.
He said that following the Mumbai terror attacks, the UPA government exerted pressure on Pakistan to accept that the terrorists involved in the attack were Pakistanis.
Rahul said that poverty was also an issue, but the Opposition parties did not talk about it, nor they bother about supplying electricity to farmers and power theft.
