To Hide Kandahar Lie, BJP Telling More Lies - Sonia

TNN

Jetpur, Apr 25: Taking on the BJP in its stronghold Gujarat, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Friday hit out at BJP leader Jaswant Singh's latest claim that LK Advani was against freeing terrorists in the Kandahar hijack episode. She accused the saffron party of telling a thousand lies to hide one lie.

"The question is not what happened in Kandahar, it is about telling the truth. You have to admit — say yes, we made a mistake. This reminds me of the saying: you tell a thousand lies to hide one lie," she said at a rally in Kheralu.

Comparing BJP's response to Kandahar hijacking with UPA's handling of 26/11 attacks, she said, "In the Mumbai terror investigations, Pakistan had to admit its hand".
