Beltangady: KSRTC bus conductor assaulted by four at Ujire

Beltanagady, May 29: A KSRTC bus conductor was allegedly assaulted by a group of four at Ujire here on the night of Wednesday May 29.

The bus conductor, Vijaykumar, was hospitalised after the incident.

The KSRTC bus was plying from Dharmasthala towards Mangaluru.

It is learnt that four persons, identified as Jayaprakash Shetty alias J P, a resident of Badekottu, Kolambe Narayana Gowda alias Baddi Narayana, Shashidhar Madivala of Kalmunje and Gangadhar, a resident of Kanyadi carried out the assault.

Thought the exact reason and circumstances are not yet known, sources said that a trivial issue between the conductor and the accused resulted in the assault.

Some passengers who were recording videos of the incident were also allegedly assaulted.

Beltangady police have registered a case. No arrest has been made yet.

    Locals need to have priorities for jobs in ksrtc for undivided south canara district. And current ksrtc employees of DK need to learn local language and culture.
