Mr Srinivas/India. A very good question. First of all dont get swept away by the malicious propoganda and lie compaign by the BJP. Secondly why do we need reservations. We dont need reservation. I support you on this. Reservation if at all is to be given must be given to economically backward section of the society and not on the basis of religion. FYI, it is not minorities alone enjoying the reservation, the major share of the cake goes to ST/SC and Dalits, who are your own hindu brothers. But unforutunately these SC/ST started getting educated and move upward economically and started questioning their social status and realised that all these years they are oppressed and exploited by upper caste hindus, the manu vadis started realising that no more they can enjoy the privilige and respect as an upper caste hindu, so RSS whose think tank is brahmins, started this drama and movement of scrapping reservation to all. That means, RSS doesnt want the abolition of caste system and they still want to oppress the shudras in the name of birth and religion. Thirdly, your question of uniform code of law to all sections of society. Yes my brother, this is again RSS plot and they want to implement manu culture so that brahmins can whip dalits and enjoy dalit women at their will. Now coming to muslims, we do have personal law which we follow in India the source of which is Holy Quran and the law is devine. We muslims follow this law only in civil matters like marriage, divorce and inheritance and that two amongst muslims. Even when a marriage is solemnised between hindu and muslim, then the law of the land is supreme and is followed. When it comes to criminal or national matters, then the national law is applied and when its a matter of dispute between a muslim and non muslim, then the matter is decided in the light of Indian Law. No where it is written in the Indian constitution or penal code how a hindu marriage is solemnized. Even in hindu society, different ways are there to celebrate the marriage. Again, when it comes to criminal matter, no muslim is outside the perview of Indian Law. I have not heard about a muslim killer or criminal tried under islamic law in India. Even the worst killer Ajmal Kasab is being tried under Indian Penal Code and Islamic law is not applied. If Islamic law is applied, the trial would have ended by now and Ajmal Kasab must have been hanged and finished with. My friend, this is nothing but RSS propaganda. They dont beleive in Indian constitution which givses equal right to all its citizesn. They dont like BR Ambedkar, who is a dalit who has hijacked brahmin supremacy and gave equal rights to Indian citizens. Truth is always bitter and difficult to digest. Rape could happen to any one from any community and all sensible people condemn it. Rape is a crime and forced sex. But what about women and girls are beaten in the name of culture, what about the attacks on churches, what about the attacks on silent protestors, what about Orissa carnage, what about the Godhra/Gujarat.

Mr Yeddyurappa you really were the slipper target?,... Well before asking the police to arrest the alleged culprit there are steps to be follwed CM.... 1. Deny such an incident happened. 2. Wait for the Home Ministry to look into the incident. 3. Have a press conference promising to form an inquiry committe. 4. Again say its never happened as Karnataka is a peaceful state and it may be an isolated incident. 5. After Pressure from all quaters and centres advice ask for an FIR to be filed. 6. Then do a token arrest and follow by bail. 7. Give the guy a party ticket to contest the elections. Many of those shoe-throwers must be thinking that they too will become "famous" like the Iraqi by hurling their shoes at politicians. I don''t think it can be stopped in the future as it is next to impossible to make people walk barefoot to attend the meetings of politicians. Strict action should be taken against these unruly guys so that future shoe-thrower would think twice before he throws his shoes at anyone. Whether a politician deserves a shoe or not, this kind of act is not at all appropriate. If someone wants to show his angst, there are other ways to do so without disturbing the public meetings. If this guy belongs to Deve Gowda’s party, mark my words, tomorrow a BJP guy will throw his shoe at Dewe Gowda in order to take tit-for-tat revenge. And again mark my words, it will not stop there it would be like a vicious circle, many of our politicians will receive shoes in the days to come.

We should respect our chief Minister as we have elected him for the top post of the state.Whatever the method provided in the constitution should be used if we disagree with him. I think it is high time we bring a special law in to force to punish the shoe thrower in public as the thrower knows the significance of that act.Severe punishment is the only solution. Shoe/slipper throw is a protest by the citizens about their dissatisfaction over the leadership, party and developmental works. According to my opinion no leader in this world can satisfy each and every citizens of their nation. People have difference of opinions and we cannot blame entirely upon the government. Citizens are also responsible to a certain extent for the downfall of our neighborhood and our society. There was a fun that many Karnataka people have observed while bjp president Mr. Rajnatah singh was addressing a press conference Mr. Yeddyurapp’s chair was pulled back by the security men and unnoticeably Mr. Yeddyurappa tried to sit down again but in the absence of chair he fell down. Is this a prediction that Mr.Yeddyurappa may lose his chair?
