Kaup: Vehicle crashes into protective railing - Bike rider loses life

Kaup, Jun 3: A motor bike rider who was riding towards Padubidri from the direction of Karkala crashed into the protective railings erected by the side of the highway and lost his life on the spot. The accident happened near the Santhoor entry point on Karkala -Padubidri state highway. The accident happened on Sunday, June 2.

The victim of the accident has been identified as Deepu Singh (20), a native of Uttar Pradesh. Pillion rider, Amarjeet Singh, suffered serious injuries. He has been admitted into the district Wenlock Hospital at Mangaluru. Both the persons travelling by the ill-fated motor bike were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident.

Both were employed at M J Crushers, a business concern functioning at Kanjarkatte. The bike veered to extreme right before hitting the protective guard.

Padubidri police sub-inspector, Subbanna, visited the spot, registered case and began investigation.
