Arab Coalition evacuates Iranian ship's crew member in Red Sea

Saudi Arabia, Jun 5: A crew member from an Iranian ship was evacuated for medical reasons by the Saudi-led Arab coalition which supports the Yemeni government in the northwest of Yemen's Hodeidah port.

As per Saudi Press Agency (SPA) the official spokesperson for the coalition, Colonel Turki Al-Malki said they received a distress call from the Iranian ship 'Safiz' to evacuate one of it's crew members. "Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had received an official request from the Iranian Ambassador at Iran's Permanent delegation to the United Nations", said Al-Malki. The evacuated crew member is being treated in a military hospital in Jazan in Saudi Arabia, he said.

As tempers are rising high between Iran and the other middle East countries, Al-Malki said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had received an official request from the Iranian Ambassador at Iran's Permanent delegation to the United Nations and the

Coalition carried out the evacuation as per the instructions of the wise leadership, based on the Kingdom's humanitarian values, teachings of Islam and adherence to international law.
