Udupi, Jun 5: The office bearers of Catholic Sabha of Udupi Diocese went to the Jamia Mosque in the city and greeted the Muslims on account of Eid-Ul-Fitr festival on Wednesday, June 5.

The office bearers of the organization gave green plants to the religious preachers of the Mosque as well as the Muslims.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, spiritual director of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, said, "All of us are living harmoniously in India. In addition to knowing each other's religion, exchanging greeting during the festivals increases the bond, which is the necessity of present time."

Mohammed Maula, member of the Jamia Masjid said, "Our Christian community brothers have exchanged the Eid greetings with us in order to maintain cordial relations and brotherhood in the society. Let the terrorism get extinct and harmony exist in our country as well as the whole world."

Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves felicitated the chief religious head of the masjid, Maulana Rashid Ahmed Nadvi on behalf of the Christian community. Muslim offered sweets to the Christian leaders and exchanged the wishes.
