Riyadh, Jun 6: Abdul Majeed, a resident of Mallur in Dakshina Kannada district, was admitted in Saudi Arabia's Al Shumaisi Hospital, here with a serious condition. The message of his health was circulated in the social media pleading for help.

The Indian Social Forum took up this case considering the situation and health condition of the patient. It was found that there was a lack of proper documentation regarding his condition. The team visited the paralyzed patient Abdul Majeed at hospital, understood the situation and decided to send the patient back to India for proper rehabilitation and further treatment.

Indian Social Forum Riyadh took up this case as a priority and a team met the brother of Saudi sponsor (Kafil). Further, the sponsor responded positively and provided the necessary documents to support the case. The team also contacted the Indian Embassy's office in Saudi Arabia. An emergency visa and a white passport were issued through dedicated efforts of the team. Few donors also came together and flight tickets were arranged for Abdul Majeed to travel from Dammam to Mangaluru, scheduled to arrive today.

The Indian Social Forum is continuously striving hard on a daily basis to assist and provide all necessary help to many non-resident Indians who have been facing trouble in the Gulf countries. They have managed to send several residents in need back to India successfully, one of them being Abdul Majeed Mallur.
