Udupi, Jun 7: Kota Juma Masjid on the day of Eid-Ul-Fitr had a surprise visit from Catholic Sabha Unit of St Joseph’s Church Kota. Catholic Sabha members of St Joseph’s Church, Kota paid a visit to the Juma Masjid Kota during Ramdan celebrations on June 5.
The Maulana of the Mosque Janab Mufti Imran expressed his joy on the visit. Janab Mohammed Sharrif, president of Kota Jamat also greeted the Christian leaders. He ensured to continue the same friendship visits during Christmas and other occasions to foster spirit of friendship and brotherhood between two communities. Sweets were exchanged as a token of love and brotherhood.
Spiritual director of Catholic Sabha Kota unit Fr Alphonsus D’Lima conveyed the greetings of Ramdan to Muslim brothers and said, “Let this Eid celebrations bring peace and love to the people of all caste and creed in the locality. We are all children of one God. And He love all of us equally,” he said.
Catholic Sabha president Harold Fernandes, secretary Saira Quadrous and other members were present.
