Udupi, Jun 10: Amidst thousands of devotees, Brahmakalashabhisheka Mahotsava was held at Sri Krishna math here on Sunday, June 9.

Thousands of devotees took part in the Maha Anna Santharpana, which was organized as part of Brahmakalashabhisheka.

Before the Anna Santharpana, Palla Pooja was performed by Ishapriya Swamiji.

MP Shobha Karandlaje witnessed the beauty of the Suvarna Gopuram. A separate arrangement was made to see tower.

Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math speaking at the stage function of Suvarna gopuram in the evening said, “Golden tower for Sri Krishna sanctum is a huge work during the term of Paryaya of Palimar Swamiji. It was made possible only because of dedication, devotion and sacrifice. If a person sticks to Lord Krishna, he will get success in his works.

“Sri Vidyadheesha Swamiji is a creative man and God's grace is on him. He offered Golden tower for Lord Krishna like Arjuna - Partha. Family is like grinding stone. If we (grains) stick to the wooden pole (God), he will protect us. If we move away from god, we will get into family conflict. So we need to dedicate our life to the lord. Let us worship lord Krishna in our hearts. The golden tower makes the entire globe prosperous because God is great and exists everywhere (sarvottama),” he said.

Sri Vidyadheesha Swamiji said, “A camera lens cannot capture all the things, which are in the mind of the cameraman. So let us make use of our eye lenses. One should please the God to get darshana of him.”

“Some people do not like worshipping God. Let them see God in Suvarna gopura. It was my intention. Krishna may not need gold because he is a kid. He takes whatever we gift with love and devotion. We are just name sake. Many people commented that making golden tower is waste and impossible. Hence, I accepted it as a challenge and took risk to build it. By the grace of God, he made it possible,” Vidhyadeesha Swamiji added.

Sri Sathyathma Theertha Swamiji of Uttaradhi Math also addressed the gathering.

Brahmakalasha purana was performed by Swamiji's of all six Maths with all religious fervour. Lalashsbhisheka for Lord Krishna was led by Pejawar Swamiji. The religious rituals started at 7 am.

Hundreds of volunteers served mid-day meal. The Annasantharpana began at 11 am and went up to 3 pm.

Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji, senior seer of Pejawar Math, Sri Vidyadeesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Palimaru Math. Sri Vidyavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Kaniyur Math, Sri Vidyaprasanna Swamiji, junior seer of Pejawar Math, Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Sode Math, Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji and Sri Ishapriya Theertha Swamiji of Admar Math, Sri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji of Krishnapura Math performed the Kalashabhisheka in the morning.
