Mangaluru, Jun 10: The eleventh day Novena in honour of St. Anthony was celebrated at St Anthony's Ashram, Jeppu on Monday, June 10.
Fr Roopesh Tauro, assistant parish priest of Kinnigoli was the main celebrant. The special intention for the day was for the Good Samaritans of the world who have been working for the betterment of the society.
Fr Roopesh in his homily highlighted the story of Saint Damian of Molokai who tirelessly and selflessly worked among the lepers to the extent of himself contracting the deadly disease. He spoke of the beatitudes and how each baptized catholic could be a Good Samaritan by helping those in need and praying for those involved in social work.
Fr Trishan and Fr Roshan, assistant directors concelebrated and Fr Trishan conducted the rosary and novena.
